Why did Alessandro Michele and Gucci choose the Castello del Monte in Puglia for the brand’s latest fashion show?
Knowing the subjects in question, we think both for all the legends related to esotericism that surround the structure built by Federico II of Svevia in about 1240. No drawbridge, stables,
kitchens, there has been much discussion about the fact that the octagonal building was not so much a defensive castle as a temple, or perhaps an observatory from which to look at the stars. And in fact there are so many astrological references.
The craziest legends say that the most sacred relic beyond all, the holy Grail, was kept here.
Nothing more fascinating for a brand that has always flirted with a symbology related to esoteric.
